Police: Meth Found In Diaper Bag; Couple Charged

A Longview mother and her boyfriend face drug charges after police said they found methamphetamine inside a diaper bag.
Police arrested Ashley Plemmons and Jorge Maldonado after a routine traffic stop Monday night led to the discovery of 23 grams of meth and weight scales inside a diaper bag, according to authorities.
Authorities said they found another plastic bag with over 6 grams of meth stuffed between the seats.
Police said there was a 3-year-old girl was sitting in the back seat and a baby boy was in a car seat, but neither child was strapped in.
Maldonado and Plemmons face drug possession, intent to sell meth and endangering children charges.
Officers said the two children have been place in protective custody.
